IPL 2022 Gujarat Titans Starts Their Campaign With A 5 Wicket Victory

Two new teams were to fight in the 4th match of the TATA IPL. It was a new beginning for Hardik Pandya as he captained a very first match of his IPL career. On the other hand was his best friend, KL Rahul’s led Lucknow Super Giants. The coin was tossed at the Wankhede Stadium and the toss was won by Gujarat Titans where they chose to bowl first.

The 1st innings began and the captain of Lucknow Super Giants was send back to the pavilion by sensational Shami on the very first ball. Lucknow lost some very early wickets like De Kock, Lewis and Manish Pandey. Then came to bat Deepak Hooda who put everything on track for the Supergiant's scoring 55 in 41 balls and a debutant for the under-19 world cup Ayush Badoni scored his debut half century scoring 54 runs in 41 balls.

The target was of 159 for the titans and we had to see in what batting order did the players come in. Shubhman Gill and Matthew Wade opened the innings for the titans, but Gill was dismissed in just 3 balls by Chameera. In came Vijay Shankar and we was also bowled by Chameera in mere 6 balls. At no.4 we saw Hardik Pandya stepping up and he built a good 50 run partnership with wade. Both of them were then dismissed and Rahul Tewatia stepped up and won the game for the titans registering 1st victory for the franchise.
