Buttler's 100 gives Rajasthan Confidence as they win by 23 runs in Ipl 2022

It was match number 9 at the Dr DY Patil Stadium between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. The toss was won by Mumbai Indians and they decided to bowl first. Even though it was a afternoon match MI decided to bowl because they wanted to chase and rely on their batting lineup.

Rajasthan came in to bat with Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal as their opener. Jaiswal lost his wicket on the second ball he played. Padikal came in to bat and he also got dismissed at the 7th ball he faced. Samson came in and showed some fireworks scoring 30 runs and then got out. Buttler on the other hand stuck to a side. Hetmyer came in and also showed us cameo scoring 35 runs in 14 balls. Buttler scored his second ipl century in 68 balls that consisted of 11 fours and 5 sixes. The score that was to be chased by the Mumbai Indias was of 194.

It was now time for Mumbai Indians to Chase. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan came in to bat. And Rohit's wicket fell early for 10 runs. Anmolpreet came in but his wicket also fell very quickly. There was god 81 run partnership between Kishan and Tilak Verma. But Kishan fell after scoring 54 runs and Tilak fell after scoring 61 runs in 33 balls. Both of them fell and nobody could help in chasing the target and eventually fell short of 23 runs and thus Royals won the match.
