Sai Sudarshan and David Miller does the magic for Gujarat Titans | GT wins by 6 wickets | GT vs Dc

So its Match No. 7 of the TATA IPL between the Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jateily Stadium.

Gujarat Titans had won the toss and chose to bowl first.

The playing XI for both the teams were :

Delhi Capitals : Prithvi Shaw, David Warner (c), Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, Sarfaraz Khan, Axar Patel, Abishek Porel (wk), Aman Hakim Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Mukesh Kumar

Gujarat Titans : Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Joshua Little, Yash Dayal, Alzarri Joseph

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw came to open for the capitals. Things started off well and both the players had a patnership for 29 runs, shortly when Shaw's wicket was taken by Shami who had showed his masterclass performance since the first match. Mitchell Marsh came in to bat at No. 3, he could not do much and was bowled by Shami. Sarfaraz Khan came in to bat at No.4 where he seemed calm and looked forward to build a partnership with his captain warner. They built a partnership for 30 runs before Warner was bowled by Alzarri Joseph. Rillee Rossouw came in at No.5 and went for a golden duck as he was also dismissed by Joseph. At No.6 came Abhishek Porel who was looking very good with the bat scored 20 run which consisted of two sixes but was bowled by Rashid Khan. Axar Patel came in to bat at No. 7 and had a partnership of 29 runs with Sarfaraz. Patel looked in good touch as he scored 36 runs in just 22 balls which consisted of three sixes and two fours. Sarfaraz was then dismissed by Rashid Khan. Aman Hakim Khan came in to bat at No. 8 for the capitals where he could only score 8 runs in 8 balls and he was also dismissed by Rashid Khan. Kuldeep Yadav came in to bat at No.9 but shortly Patel couldnot hold more and was caught in search for a boundary and was dismissed by Shami. Anrich Nortje came in to bat at No. 10 where he smashed a 4.

The total after the 1st innings were : 162 - 8

The target for 163 was set before the Titans.

For the Titans Wriddhiman Shah and Shubman Gill opened the innings. Shah just like the last match gave a good start to the team. He scored quick 14 runs in 7 balls before he was beautifully bowled by Nortje. Shubman Gill on the other hand got bowled the same way as Shah was bowled by Nortje. Sai Sudharshan and Hardik Pandya, two new batsmen were at the crease. Sai started playing smartly as he didnot loose an opportunity for smash the loose balls. He stuck to one end. Hardik on the other hand hit a beautiful four was he was caught behind the keeper and was dimissed by Khaleel Ahmed. Vijay Shankar the impact player for the Titans came in to bat at No. 5 and played sensible cricket and built a important partnership with Sai of 53 runs. He was then dimssied by Mitchell Marsh for an lbw. He scored important 29 runs in 23 balls. The monstrous South African batsman David Miller came to bat at No. 6 and he didnot wish to rely on his other team mates as he hit 31 runs in 16 balls consisting two sixes and two fours long with Sai Sudarshan who scored 62 runs in 48 balls consisting four four's and two sixes when on to win the game for the Titans making them win by 6 wickets.
